POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager for a 3-year term to oversee all aspects of new construction and ongoing projects for our early learning programs. The ideal candidate will coordinate with engineers and contractors, manage budgets and proposals, and ensure all sites meet required standards. They will be responsible for communicating with staff and client.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage all phases of new construction projects and renovations for existing early learning sites.
- Ensure projects adhere to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, including staff, clients, and external partners.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently.
- Write and submit detailed project proposals, including timelines, cost estimates, and resource requirements.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.
- Delegate tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them.
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for project progression.
- Serve as a point of contact for teams to ensure synergy when multiple units are assigned to the same project.
- Communicate with leadership or executives to keep the project aligned with organizational goals.
- Perform quality control throughout project development to maintain expected standards.
- Adjust schedules and targets as project needs change or financing changes.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Monitor project progress and implement adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, budgets, and contracts.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with staff to ensure understanding and alignment with project goals.
- Engage with leadership to provide updates and address any concerns or questions regarding project developments.

JOB STANDARDS:
Education: BA Degree in business or management.
Experience: 3-5 years of construction project management, building construction and/or related experience.
Licenses & Certifications: Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certification highly desired. Valid Florida driver’s license and be insurable by Company’s current insurance carrier. Subject to federal, state and local legal requirements/background checks.

Physical Requirements: These physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Talking, standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, use of fingers, arms, hands, legs, walking, stretching/reaching, handling, grasping, climbing, bending at the waist, turning, balancing, pushing, pulling, use of depth perception, carrying and lifting (up to 65 lbs.), and driving are constant. Good eyesight (correctable) and hearing (correctable) are essential.
Equipment: Computer, facsimile, copy machine, calculator, multi-line phone and other small office and
instructional equipment and vehicle. Knowledge and ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and safety vests during site visits and inspections to comply with safety regulations. Familiarity with using technical instruments like measuring tapes, levels, and other construction-related tools to perform on-site inspections and ensure project specifications are met.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB FACTORS:
Job Location: Volusia county with occasional travel to Hernando and Sumter county.
